The Eye of the Whale / Willem and the Whale Short Films

I have been meditating with the eye of the whale as my focal point for so many years that I'd forgotten the power of looking into the eye of a real, physical whale. That is, until I recently gazed into the breathtakingly beautiful eyes of the whales seen in the short film by Kate Miller, "The Eye of the Whale."

Take a look at this short film by Kate Miller, featuring Bryant Austin, photographer, founder of the the non-profit organization Marine Mammal Conservation Through the Arts (
www.mmcta.org). Be sure to also check out Kate's film, "Willem and the Whale," with its compelling message to the International Whaling Commission gathered for its annual meeting in 2010.

In my meditations, I see the energetic eye of the whale. Which whale? The one that I see looking at me, the one that seems to draw me directly into its eye and into what feels to be the sacred space of its heart, where the feeling of love is indescribable, unlike love that exists in this third-dimensional reality. It's not a love for the fearful. In my meditations, I might simply remain in that serene space and come out of it in a more balanced, harmonious state. On other occasions, I might find myself entering into an adventure, journeying into other dimensions, other worlds, in which I encounter beings with whom I feel a warm kinship. On these travels, I usually find myself in a sort of cockpit that seems a natural space between the huge lobes of the whale's brain. There, I have a 270 degree panorama of whatever is visible from the eye of the whale. It's quite awesome.

I now know this whale to be Aumiulus, a blue whale
that has both a physical body presence here in Lemurian waters and an energetic or etheric body, which I see in meditation.

I invite you to look into the eye of the whale in Kate Miller's film. She, Bryant Austin, and special Willem have hearts as big as a whale's. See what you see, feel what you feel, then share it, will you?

Email Obama Today: Keep Your Word - Save the Whales

Obama, Say No to Commercial Whaling

Right NOW, the U.S. delegation to the International Whaling Commission is poised to support a deal that would be the biggest threat to whales since the moratorium to commercial whaling was established in 1986. The proposal being considered would grant commercial quotas to Japan, Iceland and Norway.

As a candidate, President Obama said, "As president, I will ensure that the U.S. provides leadership in enforcing international wildlife protection agreements, including strengthening the international moratorium on commercial whaling. Allowing Japan to continue commercial whaling is unacceptable."

Why is President Obama going back on his promise? We WILL NOT stand by and watch commercial whaling paint our oceans red with the blood of whales. Sign the petition and tell the President to keep his promise to save the whales.

The Cove Wins Oscar - Protects Taiji Dolphins

While the Oscar win for documentary "The Cove" is not getting much applause in Taiji, the port city in western Japan where helmer Louie Psihoyos and his crew secretly filmed the annual dolphin slaughter, there is great celebration worldwide.

Thanks to Ric O'Barry and his single-minded focus to stop the killing and capture of dolphins for entertainment in sea life parks, and featured in the Cove, the dolphins in Taiji and other parts of Japan remain free in their ocean home.
